Salisbury University Buys Another Building

I have been informed that SU bought the Nolan Building on South Division. Hey Mr. Comegys, there goes another big chunk of change OFF the tax roll!

Is the new building that the plumbing company built. I think it is the Nolan CO.

It is Noland Co.

Did they buy the new building on S. Division or the old building down the road on Eastern Shore Drive? If it's the new building things must be really bad in construction, they just put that building up a few years ago. Hang on Salisbury.

Each time the college or hospital buys a piece of property the city loses the taxes on that property. Pretty soon the college and hospital will be side by side. Who is left paying the bills in the city then? Will they try to expand the city and make surrounding towns pay the bills for Salisbury then? Look out Parsonsburg, I'm sure they have their eye on you next.

I am sure the city could annex a trailer park or something to make up the difference.

I think that is GREAT NEWS!!!!!! I hope the University keeps going.

That may not be all bad. Maybe they can buy up and bulldoze the whole Smith Street area. Crime will really go down.

Damn now they will want another annexation to make up for that shortfall. "The Bastards!"

No, more crime will just move to my neighborhood, if my street becomes a Smith Street I'll have bars on the windows and doors and razor wire at the top of the fence like Harris Market on Eastern Shore Drive.
