There has been an alleged bomb threat at the Laurel High School. The kids have been evacuated for the past 45 minutes and we have yet to be able to confirm.
On that same note, there was an accident involving a vehicle and a School Bus in Berlin this morning. The accident happened on Rt 113 and Goody Road. The Bus was allegedly turning into a driveway, (only the driver in the Bus) in a construction zone and a vehicle collided with the Bus. Firefighters are currently cutting the person out of the vehicle.

UPDATE! Now I'm told the Laurel Elementary School has evacuated for unsafe conditions. I called and confirmed with Laurel disctrict office. All schools in Laurel are being evacuated for unsafe conditions.
UPDATE #2: Seaford High School has also gone into Lock Down because of a shooting threat.

...or maybe some student thinks he is exercising his 2nd amendment rights.
Thank you Joe. My daughter called me this morning and said they told the car riders to take their children home from Dunbar Elementary and that if they had kids in other laurel schools to go get them but they couldn't tell them why. Nobody was allowed in the building.
It's a bomb threat. The kids at North Laurel were not allowed off the buses this morning. They are turning everyone around and sending them home. I believe all the schools have been evacuated.
This begun happening at 8:30 and still nothing on wboc website. The news leader huh? doubt that!
Rumor has it that Woodbridge is on lock down for shooting threat now!
They've been annoucing it on 97.5. It was a bomb threat.
I called Delmar Elementary a few moments ago because a friend said they heard something on the news about Delmar Elementary. They are on Code Orange for precautionary measures.
This is the result of no kids left behind, catch em and turn them over to the parents and juvie system for correcting.Biggest waste of time/money.Start placing the blame on the parent [s].
I think someone got this bright idea from the texts that went out regarding the supposed threats of women being shot at Walmart. It's most likely a prank, but you just can't be too careful these days. Especially here, where our thug wannabes are probably stupid enough to try it.
I just hope they get to the bottom of this and stop all the disruption.

I am a parent of 3, two of which are wonderful kids who chose not to go down this road. I am also a veteran of more than 16 trips to sicial services interviews after having to reprimand #3. I have been in handcuffs and held for a couple of hours over the same crap. For 4 years I tried, but found that Maryland law not only prevents parents from any form of strict discipline, and encourages kids to call 911 on their parents, but offers no constructive programs (Boot Camps) for such kids because a__holes like you think punishing bad behavior with anything more than a "timeout" is reprehensible. These kids are the fodder for recruitment for the Bloods and Crips. By the way, she moved out at 16, got pregnant, had a baby by the boyfriend who abuses her, and is sucking on every Government program you can pay taxes for. This last year has been a peaceful one for me, finally.
So, this is my fault?
