A check for $3,000.00 was presented to Crime Solvers on behalf of Anytra Pirkle. 1st. Sgt, Tim Robinson explained how Crime Solvers pays anywhere from $100.00 to $1,000.00 Rewards out to Citizens that help solve crimes. All Citizens can remain anonymous and the average pay out of $200.00 so far.
In the case of Anytra Pirkle, that murder was solved within 12 hours because a Citizen called in the tip as to where to find the car the very next morning. Police staked out the vehicle and were able to arrest the murder suspects and solve the crime within 12 hours.
NAACP's Mary Ashante' will hold a crime awareness meeting on March 26th at the Chipman Culture Center at 7:00 PM.
