Gilchrest Claims, I Bear No Grudge ...

... sure you don't Wayne.

Soon to be former Congressman Wayne Gilchrest has shown First District voters that being a SORE LOSER yields the requisite 15 minutes of fame. He has also shown that personal honor is not a requirement to being elected to Congress.

Well... We kind of knew that before yesterday.

Gilchrest's endorsement of Democrat Frank Kratovil is hardly surprising. It's merely sad. A bitter old man was rejected by the voters and now he thinks that he can punish First District Republicans by helping to elect a slave to Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi.

We already knew that Frank Kratovil would say or do anything to get elected. Wayne Gilchrest has chosen to betray the very people who tried to help him in his unsuccessful attempt for re-election by breaking his word.

This isn't about partisanship, this is about honor, principle, and the ability to hold to your word. It's unfortunate that, win or lose, Gilchrest's legacy will be that he failed to posses any of these traits. Read More ...

You have hit the nail on the head! Congressman Gilchrist is punishing the people who supported him the most in a most childish knee-jerk 'political' reaction. Now he will have to live with this awful legacy of disloyalty that has completely overwhelmed his many years of service and fairness to all of his constituents.

All I can say is beware of Andy Harris. His thinking and positions are right in line with the sort of crap that has put this country in the mess we are in. Privatize, big business to solve every problem! That is, proffit first and to hell with the public good! If you like George Bush, you will like Harris. Gilcrest knows the lesser of two evils is Kartoval. And the LESSER OF TWO EVILS is all he is.

Gilchrest has never cared anything about the Eastern Shore, and the Eastern Shore doesn't care who Gilchrest supports. It is a loser supporting a loser.
I would be very disappointed if Gilchrest came out in support of Andy Harris.
