We used the boat ramp over the weekend and it was disgusting!! I had to step over condoms, feminine products and a lot of other crap, no pun intended, to get my boat in. Extremely disappointing.
Looks more like one of those pecan logs the guys in the truck were going door to door with.

I didn't know they put corn in Baby Ruth candy bars.
Didn' I see a "skimmer" type barge docked at the city marina years ago.I was under the impression that the city owned it since it had a city "emblem" on it's side. This machine is self propelled and skims the water for debris. Where is it now?
The city skimmer was sold to a private buyer and now resides in a yard in Whitehaven.just saw the Salisbury Navy go by and they looked well rested form there hard work today.
Oh what a lovely picture this is - I think it should be framed and hung in Barrie's office or in her living room just as a reminder of all she has accomplished.

That's mighty strange looking bird droppings. How did the birds get it all wrapped neatly like a candy bar or some other product. The Salisbury Navy just sunk underthe weight of all that crap in the river!

Stop Art~! LoL You got me cracking up here, the ribs are hurting I'm laughing so hard. Reminds me of the movie Caddyshack when Bill Murray used that Baby Ruth bar to clear the kids out of the pool, then he skimmed it up and took a bite : )
Serious though it really isn't funny, however it's not like we haven't tried. Some funny people on here today I needed a laugh anyway.
4:48 pm--Look again. Click on the picture to enlarge it. What is on the boards is bird droppings, but most of what is in the water is trash. Paper plates, cartons, cans, bottles, cigarette butts, etc. and so forth ad nauseum.

WWTP TILGHMAN IS PLANNING TO INSTALL 2 MORE 6 FOOT DRAINAGE PIPES EMPTYING INTO THE RIVER.
