The Stand Pipe

The Tilghman Times continues to go on a rant for Mayor Barrie Tilghman promoting the immediate need to remove or renovate the aging structure. Notice in their article how they strongly push the urgency of having this done. Want to know why? Because it must be done before Barrie gets out of office and that's the ONLY reason why. Barrie Tilghman will push items like this and PAC 14 BEFORE her rear end hits the doors on her way out.

Perhaps every property owner with tall trees should have their trees inspected to see if it could fall onto a neighboring property and cause damage as well? Heck, one look at the Downtown Parking Garage structure would put me in more fear then this old structure possibly falling onto a parking lot!

Keep your engineer buddies in business, is Barrie Tilghman's goal. $6,000.00 to do another study? How's that study on the Downtown Plaza working for you Barrie? In my opinion, it's all about the North Prong and her ultimate goal to get everyone out of that end of the river. Buy the land cheap, throw up condos and whatever else she could have ties to and or help support her friends to rebuild yet another area of the City as cheap as humanly possible. More importantly, get rid of the expensive stuff at taxpayers expense BEFORE she leaves Office.

You tell me Folks, what's the urgency all of a sudden? Am I on the right track?

Hey, T.J.'s Maloney's law office is one of the buildings the old standpipe might hit if it falls down--isn't that reason enough to let it happen!!!!!!!!!

that thing isn't going to fall down. Back then they didn't take shortcuts and use cheap materials. they knew how to make something that lasts!

That standpipe and many other things are on Barries agenda to steal the land from the rightful owners along the North Prong. Barrie and Lore envision Baltimore, DC, Annapolis in the midst of the ghetto known as Salisbury. If they want Baltimore, Annapolis or DC let them pack their bags and move. They are banking on the farmers and planter, and Jim Perdue moving out then they'll take all of the other properties through eminent domain. The problem I see here is eminent domain is usually used to bring business and prosperity to an area. How can they justify stealing land from existing businesses? These businesses have prospered there for decades upon decades. Where is the justification? They can't argue that these businesses don't serve all the people and I'd have to rebut that argument. Farmers & Planters serves the local farmer as well as the home gardener. Richard Holloways building is used to sell automotive parts. Who doesn't buy parts to repair their vehicles? Ronnie Cain is a brick mason, who isn't building something, somewhere within the city or county using brick? SJ Disharoon sells cemetary monuments. Tell me please, who is not going to die and their family want a monument to mark the grave of the loved one they have lost? Another fact about SJ Disharoons business is that land has been in his family for over 100years and the very building he uses as an office is the old school house that used to sit on Gay St.

Barrie Tilghman will do whatever it takes, by whatever means necessary to suit herself and her buddies even if it means stealing the land. I hope the Daily Times has the moxey to do a special section on Barrie Tilghman when she is booted out of office. They could call it The Legacy of a Mad Woman. If I were Barrie Tilghman I'd be packing up and relocating to one of those islands where all the crooks hide their money in offshore accounts. She'll be in good company with all of those thieves and liars.

All they need to do is let high school/college art class kids go paint a mural on it and it wouldn't be an eyesore to Barrie anymore - she just just sit and look out her window and daydream (some more!). Damn a study, how hard is this to figure out anyway?

Maybe this is part of her plan to have Salisbury declared an All-American City! Maybe she thinks it detracts from the wonderful skyline we have! LOL!

all's needed is to yank off the ivy and spray it with some sort of preservative, or paint. it'd cost less than any study. hekk, i'll "study" it for 6000 bucks.
