delmarvanow reported today on Chevy Chase Bank is closing all 50+ of their GIANT Food Store locations, leaving area members in the lurch.
I don't think they did their home work, though. A quick call to a Chevy Chase service rep informed me that the Salisbury branch (among a few others) will be remaining open indefinitely until a suitable alternative can be provided for this region's banking customers.
They may build a standalone branch somewhere locally. No plans have been announced.
But what has been announced is that they WON'T be closing the Salisbury branch. And that CRUCIAL fact wasn't reported in the delmarvanow news story.

i told ya, the banks are fallin.
When nothing is selling that is when banks make their huge cut backs. how many mortgage brokers do you need to sell NOTHING?
All that TIF money could have been spent on something that was going to create jobs, nothing is being done to make good use of that money, and no jobs are being created.
Thanks to Tighlman, Dunn, Cathcart, Shanie and Bubba they have this whole city jammed up.
