July 5th Fireworks in Willards

This year the Wicomico Eastside Chamber of Commerce and it's members are sponsoring a fireworks display in honor of our nations independence. The Display will be the first of it's kind in Willards and will be held on Saturday, July 5th, (rain date July 6) 2008, at the Willards Elementary School on Richland Rd. inWillards, MD. There will be an "Alex's Lemonade Stand" on site to benefit the battle against childhood cancer. Admission is free. There may be other vendors on site. Anyone who attends is sure to enjoy easy access, a country setting, and an outstanding fireworks display to be shot by Mike Ash of Pittsville who is our own local representative of Bay Fireworks.

A special thank you in advance goes out to:

  • Wicomico County Bd of Ed for the use of the property on which the display will be held;
  • The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office for providing a law enforcement presence; and
A huge Thank You in advance goes out to the Willards Volunteer Fire Co. as well as all other fire department personnel and the Wicomico County Fire Police who have pledged their time and equipment to make this event a success.

Again, admission is FREE. Donations, however, will be excepted by the Willards Volunteer Company.

Hope to see you there!

Go Willards! My aunt has worked at that school for over 30 years! The new building is beautiful and well deserved! This is all happening just down the road from my childhood home....very cool! I can sit on dad's deck and watch it all in comfort! Nice...

This is awesome, I can sit in the comfort of my own backyard and watch the display as I live just east of the school and will be able to see them quite well. Willards is a great little town that is getting ready to see a lot of growth with the completion of their new sewer plant, this will only help the town.
