Good for you! Let's all live our lives as normal!

Can you believe people are this stupid? Good luck to you and every other business that has to deal with public ignorance.

The hype is by design

This is AMERICA. Since when do our elected officials tell ADULTS what we can or can't do! It's a choice. Millions of people go into the ocean during the summer. They know the risks. You can get attacked by a shark but like this virus, what's the odds? That being said, you have a choice. Go out or stay home. I open at 6 PM tonight, see you there.

i'm with u joe, completely blown out of proportion

Nice.

In case you don't understand the importance of not going out I'll help explain it like I saw it.

This thing is spreading exponentially, doubling itself. Imaging a baseball stadium that is full of people and you put a drop of water on the pitchers mound a 12 PM. That drop doubles itself every second and each droplet then does the same. Everyone in the stadium will be drowned by 12:50 PM the same day. The kicker is that water wont creep up into the stands until 12:45 pm. By the time you realize it, it's too late. Everyone drowns in 5 minutes.

Self quarantine is about keeping the spread down as to not overburden hospital beds for those who will need them, so doctors don't have to choose who lives or dies. So that we all have proper care.

For those who choose to ignore these LIFE SAVING sacrifices, I hope it's YOUR loved ones who can't get access... I hope it's YOUR parents and grandparents who pay the price of your recklessness.... You think a night out on the town is more important than a small sacrifice to save lives because you want a green beer, then when people can't get access YOU and YOUR FAMILY should be the first to volunteer to NOT get the care, and let those who helped to keep us safe have the access.

Remember the story of the Little Red Hen. It's kinda like that.

Joe you are contributing to the spread of this contagion.

The difference is that the shark only attacks the person swimimg. With this virus, the shark attacks the person swimming then 2 weeks later can attack 100's more who had contact with that swimmer or in that water. And then the sharks attack 1000's more who had contact with those hundreds of people during those 2 weeks that they had no clue they had the virus "or were going to be attacked". Only way to stop the attacks is to shut large gatherings down for a while. I dont like it but it's the right call. The longer the wait to shut down, the worse it becomes, exponentially.

Also, if the government is telling us this much about this virus, what do they know about it that they are not telling us to "keep us safe"? Finally, we all know how much the President cares about the economy and the stock market. He knows taking these measures will have a huge negative effect on both. He would not be ok with doing these things if it was not the right thing to do for the country.

That’s right Joe. I will be down. This crap has been around for years. Look at you Lysol can it has been on it for 29 years. Yes Lysol can kill it and so can Green beer top of the murnin to ya

It's this attitude that will cause this Virus to be as serious as it will get. And already is.
We senior citizens don't need people like you getting this and carrying it around and killing us by transmitting the virus.
Total ignorance on your parts.
You realize the Cleveland clinic (Top or one of 3 top Hospitals in the country....not like our Green Acres PGMC)) is putting up tents and temporary facilities to provide areas for the sick?
No one knows there are 10's of thousands with this virus. Because the administration did not get out tests.
Your a fool if you think your safe.

Groups of 250 or more banned? That would shut down Secrets.

You won't catch me in a confined space with any group of people for the immediate future. It is now known you catch it from the air that infected people exhale out of their lungs, and that air remains infectious for 3 hours. Don't be stupid. Common sense folks, common sense. It's your life though. Take all the risks YOU want. I don't need a drink that bad.

I am 73 and I feel the same. I could get hit by a beer truck on the way to church on a Sunday. Live your life people 💪

6:38 I see what you are saying Joe but this isn't an arbitrary clamp down on your rights as a business owner, it's a precaution to protect from more infections which could kill the elderly or overwhelm our healthcare systems with those who are not at risk of dying but need medical attention. Your analogy is perfect for this situation because you cannot be attacked by a shark if you stay out of the ocean, just like your chances of contracting a contagious disease diminish if not disappear when you avoid interacting with people driving in from all over the tri state area. That being said I hope everyone has a great time and like you said, everyone has a choice - even the people traveling while symptomatic lol.

That's the problem.. you "living your life" could be effectively "ending other lives" and it's flat out selfish. We all want people to "live their lives", that's why we make this short term sacrifice.

You should too!

Dead man walking. You didn't make it to 73 by taking undue risks to your life. Why be stupid now? This thing makes young people sick. It KILLS old people like you. Good Luck!

Anonymous said...

Hmmm, if I'm living my life and continue to venture out, it's my right, my choice, my risk. IF the ones who are truly concerned decide to stay in, am I still "effectively ending other lives" or have those concerned exercised their right to make a choice and minimize their risk effectively putting only the others that have chosen to go out at potential risk? I recognize some may find this provocative...

Provocative!? I find it to be rambling and incoherent. Your brain is weird, but I'm sure you've been told that before. That's some strange "thinking."

You are wrong! This virus has not been around for years. I just listened to a world leading expert state that the scientists have used a test procedure like carbon dating on the DNA of this strain, and the mutation occur in mid November. Thus, you and everyone else are gathering in large groups are engauging in a deadly game of craps without the necessary previous life experience. That would be fine if it only affected you, but in this case, your personal freedom to be stupid and reckless, could help overwhelm the health care system. At that point, your personal freedom is based in immorality. I hope you are a better human than that.

A valid question based around perspective is incoherent rambling? THAT, my fellow commenter, could be considered strange thinking.
