Jake Day, Jack Heath and Manure Bota are ruining what was left of historic downtown Salisbury!!

You idiots keep supporting those moronic imbeciles!!!

They want a tall building so they can spend millions on all new fire equipment and ladder trucks. That building will be so out of place for Salisbury. How can 3 to 5 people have so much power went they cant manage themselves. So sad.

Joe here is a video of a drag queen dancing sexually suggestively for a child in a public library and this is exactly what Jake Day is pushing to come to our County libraries. Please post this video to show this is what you get when drag queens read to children at public libraries. THIS IS DISGUSTING!!

Here’s a drag queen dancing suggestively for a young girl while the adults look on and cheer. Isn’t our liberal elite so cultured, nuanced, sophisticated, and an example to be followed?

I thought the whole build was to preserve the old building.
Didn't the original plans have the new building built around the old building?

They knew all along they were going to do this.

Liar liar.

It seems to me once again the will of the politicians out way the will of the people. The down town area looks like a bombing run by a A10 warthog! The city is moving in the direction of the politician ! Wake up Salisbury. There is some good old boy politics playing in the background!

Just the timbers in that building are worth tens of thousands.

There is no will of the people or any care for Salisbury residents and tax payers it is all about Jake and has been since his first term. He and the council do everything they want you notice none of these items are ever on our ballots to vote nor is there any hearings or discussions open to a city wide vote. I hope all you trolls that voted him to a second term realize there will be no Salisbury left it's all about his 15 minutes of attention that just goes on and on and on. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are keeping the facade and that is it. The front is staying. The rest is leaving. And a 12 story building is ridiculous.

We have not heard about the untreated releases of wastewater last week!

1:23, they should encourage movie producers to film apocolyptic/war movies
in the street to pay for some of the repairs. It looks authentic enough, LOL!

Anonymous said...

It's a shame. In smarter places there are companies that glean and reuse all that old timber.

Can't wait for the crime and litter to start popping up, OH lets not forget, PARKING!!!! Where are these tenets of this 12 story tall building going to park on a Wednesday during jury duty or court day???? I pay to park downtown through my work, and I am no longer guaranteed a parking space... I will refuse to pay, and I dare them to even touch my car or ticket it...

Follow the money.

Looks pretty nice. Downtown could use some fresh architecture.

And what’s up with the old mall location. Were we told beginning in January?

Dumbest idea I have ever heard of in Salisbury. Have not talked to one person who thinks this project will be a success.

Wonder who is on the hook financially to demolish it when it starts to sink

Betcha no one did an actual soil study to see if the land can hold the weight.

What happened to the beer garden?
What happened to the roof top dining?
What happened to the 150+ homes at the old mall site?
What happened to the amphitheater structure that was supposed to be built?
over and over and over......

They need to tear down the hurdle building the whole first floor/basement is condemned yet they still have people working on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floor!

Can we sue city over the past folks that had to spend money on historic district committees decisions due to the fact that they are not following there own specs???

Anonymous said...

The land underneath is contaminated soil also. How are they getting away with digging up the land and not replacing the soil like ROFO had to and the street construction??? There was a gas station there on the corner where the bank and chamber were...

"Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown." is now

"Forget it, it's Jakebury."

I could put that building on the ground in four or five hours. With a crane an wrecking ball. David Humphreys

Exactly! Sadly most people will bitch on Social Media and anonymously on blogs instead to going to the city council meetings and demanding change!

And they will now end up in the landfill because of Jake Day, Jack Heath and Manure Bota.

This is someone who is closely involved with this abortion! Good try Bozo, but this looks like a Piece of $hit and ruins Historic Downtown Salisbury. Downtown Ghetto'Bury will always be a Ghetto as long is it is run by Democrats.

Downtown Salisbury is built on Lake Humprey and will always have soil problems.

It's not about success for Salisbury - it is about the individuals behind this project. It's all about the money. Publish who the contractors being used; the bank that's funding it or where the money is coming from - what taxpayer appropriation fund? How many Section 8 people will be assigned to live there. How many illegal immigrants will be housed there??? What funds the City wiil receive to accept section 8. All this info should be under the Freedom of Info. Just for the asking?

Perdue wastewater release? Have not heard any media attention on that. Last week to river and wwtp.

Nothing can stop what is coming

Wow this is terrible, & I was thinking about moving to Salisbury.......Welp, not now ! Lol

Anonymous said...

Anyone who even thinks about moving to Salisbury is crazy. We should be doing things to entice people to move here, instead the city does stupid crap like this along with their rainbow crosswalks and buildings. Pick Salisbury up and move it to Rehoboth beach, it would fit in very nicely.

They don't think the city charter or guidelines have anything to do with them. They are special, they are above us. Just a bunch of self entitled fools.
