Event:    Flash Flood Watch
Alert:    ...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM EDT THIS
AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of southeast Maryland and Virginia, including the
following areas, in southeast Maryland, Dorchester, Inland
Worcester, Maryland Beaches, Somerset, and Wicomico. In
Virginia, Accomack, Caroline, Eastern Essex, Eastern King
William, Eastern King and Queen, Gloucester, Lancaster,
Mathews, Middlesex, Northumberland, Richmond, Western Essex,
Western King William, Western King and Queen, and
Westmoreland.

* From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through Saturday afternoon.

* Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected from this afternoon
through Saturday afternoon across portions of central and
eastern Virginia. Total rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are
expected on average, with locally higher amounts possible.

* Heavy rainfall may result in rapid rises in streams and
creeks. This could quickly result in flooding, especially in
low lying and poor drainage areas. Flooding my be exacerbated
during periods of high tide for areas along the Chesapeake Bay
and tidal rivers.
Instructions:    A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
