Rep. Jack Bergman: Media 'complicit' in spread of hateful rhetoric

Rep. Jack Bergman, R-Mich., said Wednesday that the media bear some responsibility for the hateful rhetoric used today that he said was likely a factor in the shooting during the Republicans' congressional baseball game practice.

"The hateful rhetoric serves no positive purpose, in fact today it obviously served a negative purpose, but unfortunately, and I'm looking at all the media in the eye when I say this: Friendships and cordial relationships don't make good news," Bergman said on Fox News.

"So, I can tell you, especially as president of the freshman class of Republicans, we are united along with our Democratic freshman counterparts to bring civility back to the 115th Congress."

When asked if the current state of hateful rhetoric is the media's fault, Bergman responded, "I think the media is complicit if they keep inciting as opposed to informing."

If there is going to be any kind of war in this country it will be against the liberal nuts running around destroying property and attacking people. You can only push anyone so far before they turn and kick your butt across the floor!
