Incident: Malicious Burning
Date of Incident: 19 September 2016
Location: 1000 block of Nevins Place, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Kevin B. Lawrence, 50, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 19 Sep 2016 at 7:13 AM a deputy responded to a reported disturbance at a residence in the 1000 block of Nevins Place in Salisbury. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a pile of clothing on fire in the driveway. During the subsequent investigation the deputy determined that Kevin Lawrence set his girlfriend’s clothes on fire following an argument between the pair. According to the girlfriend, the argument began the preceding evening after Lawrence brought home a subject she described as a woman of ill repute.
The deputy placed Lawrence under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Lawrence in the Detention Center in lieu of $10,000.00 bond.
Charges: Malicious Burning and Malicious Destruction of Property




Incident: Trespass
Date of Incident: 19 September 2016
Location: 400 block of Keene Avenue, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Karen Danielle Brooks, 35, Manchester, CT
Narrative: On 19 Sep 2016 at 10:09 PM a deputy responded to a reported disturbance at a residence in the 400 block of Keene Avenue. Upon arrival, the deputy was informed that a family member, Karen Brooks was at the residence visiting from Connecticut and the residents wanted her to leave. Brooks left upon the request of the residents and the deputy.
At 10:40 PM the deputy was called back to the residence because Brooks had returned in defiance of the resident’s request. The deputy placed Brooks under arrest for trespassing.
Brooks was transported to the Central Booking unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Brooks on Personal Recognizance.

Now if just had a fire pit or chiminea, he would have been fine. Something tells me that there ain't much money left over after the alcohol, drugs and hookers to purchase an approved outdoor fireplace.
