Broncos’ Brandon Marshall loses endorsement deal after kneeling for national anthem

Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall said he expected pushback. He knew not everyone would agree with his decision to kneel for the national anthem before the Broncos’ season opener against Carolina on Thursday evening.

He expected some to perceive his protest, designed to highlight issues such as racial inequality and police brutality, in a negative light.

Friday morning, his expectation became reality when Air Academy Federal Credit Union released him from his endorsement deal. Marshall became AAFCU’s official spokesperson in May.

“Although we have enjoyed Brandon Marshall as our spokesperson over the past five months, Air Academy Federal Credit Union (AAFCU) has ended our partnership,” Glenn Strebe, the AAFCU’s president and CEO wrote in a Facebook statement. “AAFCU is a membership-based organization who has proudly served the military community for over 60 years. While we respect Brandon’s right of expression, his actions are not a representation of our organization and membership. We wish Brandon well on his future endeavors.”

He has the right to be an idiot lol. They have the right to take bread off his table. Also early in the first quarter of the game someone drilled him. He went to locker for concussion protocol. Hmmmmmmmmmm so sad. lol This is no place for these millionaire black to take this stand. I would respect them more if they donated ten percent of their salary to the poor kids of all colors.

The President supports it. Did anyone think shaming our flag would offend that bastard. I noticed NHL said kneel or sit out during the anthem you can plan on sitting the whole year. I guess when they can heat the ice that will be an issue. Sorry that was wrong throwing a whole race of people under the bus for the acts of a few is what BLM does. Does not feel to good does it.

AAFCU should have deleted their last sentence.

Not to worry... You may be certain that he has received an unbelievable stipend under the table for this disruption. It is all part of Obama's plot to destroy the u.s. by bringing in millions of muslims while our attention is diverted..

Get used to it. America is heading for a fall, a fall. Why do you think obammy and other 'leaders' have been pushing for people to stock up on essentials? Some think it will be an EMP strike that will kick things off. It's possible and we are very vulnerable to that type of attack. People stock up on milk, eggs and toilet paper when a thunderstorm hits, can you imagine the panic and chaos when a real emergency comes knocking?

This is clearly an organized agenda in the NFL

Once and for all straighten out the NFL....boycott the hell out of them. When the money starts drying up, things will improve. I lost all respect for them when they didn't allow decals for the slain Dallas police officers. In my world, you can't have it both ways. Those officers deserved respect like is shown to some of the players that make jackaxxes out of themselves on a daily basis. The officers lost their lives, what has the player lost? A little spending cash they waste on their bad behaviors.
