MARYLAND SENATOR VOTES IN FAVOR OF HIS LOBBYIST WIFE’S CLIENT

A Maryland state senator voted against a bill, which would have been detrimental to the corporate client, whom his wife represented during the 2014 legislative session.

According to state lobbying records Pamela Kasemeyer, a registered lobbyist for Scwartz, Metz & Wise, represented Pioneer Green, a Texas-based developer seeking to construct a wind farm in Somerset County.

During the legislative session, the southern Maryland delegation introduced legislation, HB 1168, to put a moratorium on the Great Bay Wind project, which they feared would interfere with Patuxent Naval Air Station’s radar testing operations.

Kasemeyer’s husband, State Senator Ed Kasemeyer (D-Howard County) voted against HB 1168, meaning he voted in the direct interest of his wife’s client.

Joe:

Those Texas investor-millionaires ("Pioneer Green Energy") just called it quits in Alabama because some local residents brought suit and the state legislature imposed reasonable setback rules for the windmills.

Wake up Somerset County before its too late and O'Malley screws you.

Kearney-O’Doherty Public Affairs, the politically influential consulting firm, who is assisting O’Malley’s presidential bid, are also working for Pioneer Green on the Great Bay Wind project.

Most politicians are whores for money. Maybe those in Somerset County will be better than that.

I looked on Pioneer's website and the problem is they have no track record. 2 projects and the rest are projects they are going to do, Somerset being one.
Prudent legislators (take note J Mathias) wouldn't have us in a position of being someone's guinea pig. Prudent legislators (take note J Mathias) would have insisted we use the best company out there with a long list of successful accomplishments.
Their ineptness and shooting from the hip and failure to ask questions and investigate last time, cost many many millions (health care exchange.)

Liberal Jim and Chairman Norm are always looking out for us!

What's new? They are Democrats so they are liars. Mathias and Conway support O"Malley and O'Malley supports Obama. But have no fear. Muslims are a peace loving people and our borders are secure.

This project is riddled with red flags and political corruption, just ask Jim Mathias.
