The Wicomico NAACP needs to immediately show ashanit the door and hire Mr King as the president of this local chapter.
They need a real leader and not someone like ashanti who all they do is jump upon the bandwagon du jour.

Agree with 11:36.
The local NAACP spins its wheels over everything but promoting positive change from within Its ranks and the populations it allegedly serves, evidently preferring to lay blame instead of rising above it through presenting positive role models in action. Granted, the Shore has a long history of racial divide, but an ever-increasing population of motivated people of all colors want to put that behind us. Those who don't are those with an agenda that works against that, whether by neglect, accident or design.

I agree the local NAACP does not reflect blacks in a good light. Jumping instead always to inflame things before all the facts are out and they should want our black people out there to show intelligence and always the facts as they are, not just racists leaps.

Can we give this young man (Mr. King) a spot on every major news media? He totally gets it. White skateboarders are profiled due to their grunge look as well. Youth do not know that by wearing the culture movement clothing sends a signal to everyone with eyes that they are conducting themselves in a certain way. A look of contempt for social morays sends a message that they need to be helped back on track so that they don't get too far astray in their stupid youthful expressions. We all did it in one way or the another in our youth...the BIG DIFFERENCE is that the stakes are life threatening and much higher today. More father figures are needed in society today. More men of character are needed today. Why are men so content to let all this garbage happen in front of the eyes of their young children. Do they think it will not rub off on their children? WRONG!!! Society as a whole is suffering and men are letting it happen. Other cultures that are thought less free are certain to restrain their youth so that they don't end up in trouble. The result is that usually less children end up in trouble. Children will take the path of least resistance. So...if you make it easy for them to act out....they will. While they are busy getting beyond the stupid years of youth...don't let them suffer more than is necessary. BE PARENTS!! Stop watching this go down and doing NOTHING. Most households are being run by children today because it is much more time consuming and difficult to be a decent parent. Children need to understand consequences. The main difference between men in prison and men on the outside is that the ones behind bars never learned consequences until it was too late.
