BREAKING NEWS: FORMER SALISBURY CITY COUNCIL PRESIDENT AND CURRENT COUNCILWOMAN TERRY COHEN RESIGNS

Moments ago on PAC14 Council Woman Terry Cohen JUST announced she is retiring and stepping down from the Salisbury City Council.

I for one would like to THANK Mrs. Cohen for the many years she has dedicated herself to the citizens of Salisbury.

I would also like to thank her Family for allowing her to serve as there are a select few that completely understand the toll this takes on a Family.

Mrs. Cohen will be sorely missed and I would hope that each one of you will offer a kind farewell and appreciation for her service to Salisbury, Maryland.

From an outsider looking in I see this as one of Salisbury's darkest days. Mrs Cohen is no one's dummy. She is one of the last of the good people, who aren't in politics for themselves. She's sees now she is only flogging the dead horse which Salisbury has become.
Mark my words, Salisbury will continue to fall further into the abyss of crime and poverty. If Salisbury had had people on the council and for mayor, for the past 20 years with only half of Mrs Cohen's knowledge, integrity, and principles Salisbury would be a prosperous city today.

Hey, Joe. It didn't sound like she's "retiring" to me.

Something is going on that is requiring her to "put family first."

That may explain her absences of late.

This news saddens me deeply. Ms. Cohen wasn't in this for the politics, rather for us, the people who live, work and try to raise our families here. Her accomplishments are many and the dignity with which she carried herself tonight speaks volumes about the difference between Salisbury's current leadership and Ms. Cohen, Ms. Campbell, and Mr. Spies when they tried to lead us out of this mess with truth and practicality rather than political social climbing. This is a sad day for Salisbury. Thank you Ms. Cohen.

I don't blame her one bit. The libs have taken over. Salisbury is doomed. It is really sad that the city I grew up in, loved four 5 decades is becoming a toilet bowl for poverty, crime, fraud, hopelessness. So very sad. I've know Terry for 40 years. She's a good person, very intelligent and was one of the last people decent enough to put others ahead of herself. A real shame.

Same kind of slick politics used to get rid of the County Tourism Bureau.

9:34, I've known her for 25 years, so you got me beat but I agree it's a loss for Salisbury.

Funny thing is, Terry is a "lib," but sort of different kind, maybe the "real" kind? She has always been real open to the way different people think. She and her family have always been very generous, almost to a fault. Her mom and dad were like that. But she is very practical, unlike most libs so I guess that's why the likes of Ireton hate her so much.

I am a Republican and she has been great to me. I know my family and I will miss her dearly. This is a loss for myself, my family and OUR city.

Jim Ireton, Jake Day and Laura Mitchell I despise you for what you do to good people and I pray that your day will come.

Any intelligent and strong woman is a threat. Oland, Campbell, Chambers and now Cohen. I pray for her family. She has her priorities straight.
