Salisbury sits on Maryland's eastern shore, approximately 20 minutes south of the Delaware border. Known as the crossroads of the Delmarva Peninsula, Salisbury is within a couple hours of several major cities, including Baltimore and Washington D.C. Food processing and agriculture are the two largest industries, with a sizable percentage of residents employed by Perdue Farms.
Did You Know: Salisbury University consistently ranks as one of the best and most affordable public universities in the northern United States.
Look at some of the differences referencing crime. Take Bowie as an example. I spent 20 years of my life in Bowie and this stat is a load of crap as well.

Two days ago WBOC stated that major crime in Salisbury was down over 50%. Real journalism, real community responsibility would have gone on to say, however, theft and burglary are up 1,000%. If you had two murders last year and only one this year, YES, crime is down 50%.
My point is, IF someone is considering moving here and the local MSM and municipalities are sending out the message Salisbury is actually a SAFE place to live and raise your children, they are lying.
Real Estate Agents take those statements and tell people, well crime is down 50%. Are they LYING???
Now, because I publish articles like this one, Joe Albero is labeled the BAD GUY. When we have people contacting me telling me the Police refused to open a case for a bicycle being stolen and instead give you a case number for your insurance company, ARE POLICE REALLY DOING THEIR JOB? Am I the bad guy because I expose this going on over and over again?
One thing I can tell you is that our numbers keep increasing each and every day. More and more people are coming here by word of mouth because more people want others to know the TRUTH. We provide documents, photos and information that PROVE what we are saying is the TRUTH.
When I see information out there like what you are seeing above I simply CRINGE! It just goes to show, if you throw enough money at it you too can become an ALL AMERICAN CITY.

Why don't you go back to Bowie big mouth or better yet, straight to hell where you belong. They call you the bad guy because, you are what you are. Now, go choke on something.

Jim Ireton had this all over his FB page like it was an accomplishment. Look at it this way it was 10th out of 10. That means that Salisbury is DEAD LAST just where it should be.
Liarton liarton liarton.
Just love those statistics and lame reasons to come here. The facts are that there are very few job opportunities worthy of college graduates' abilities and needs, the crime problem in so many respects is getting worse, not better, the housing stock that used to be starter homes for young families is now mostly rentals, being rented at ridiculous rates for a small city, and the city just doesn't have any appreciable charm going for it in a general sense.
Salisbury has to decide where it wants to go. And soon, before it's too late to make a difference.
Salisbury is number two in cities of 25,000 or more pop. in regards to crime, just behind Baltimore.
Yesterday was the first time in years that I spent any measurable amount of time in Salisbury. It's not thriving just merely existing and you can see it's by a shoestring. Saw many panhandlers, several "street walkers," an over abundance of run down and/or vacant properties, commercial included and it seemed like we were virtually the only people in the Mall to the point that we commented on this fact several times. More often than not our party of 4 were the only ones in most of the small stores we visited.
I agree with 1:07's "Salisbury has to decide where it wants to go. And soon, before it's too late to make a difference" because any area needs a base of residents with good paying jobs and money to spend to survive.
"Salisbury sits on Maryland's eastern shore, approximately 20 minutes south of the Delaware border" when did they move Salisbury or did they move the Delaware border? Folks, there is proof of the lack of credibility for the entire article.

They could have stopped right at the crime stat because 1 in 84 chance of being the victim of a violent crime is TERRIBLE!
Maybe JI has a "special friend" there?? Humm? Haha
Or maybe just a regular friend, 11:35. I did notice the author of the article's name is Rebecca Lake.
"Jackass" works just fine, Joe.
