Would You Like To Know WHY Crimes Aren't Getting Solved In Wicomico County


I have a key EYE WITNESS who just called me saying he saw this exact guy JUST BEFORE he robbed the Bank of Delmarva today.

I'll not get into every detail but get this. He called Crime Solvers and he said to me, are these local people Joe? I said, yes, absolutely. He then went on to tell me he was placed on hold for EIGHT minutes when he first called. He hung up and called back again. 

The woman asked him what town he was from and could you please spell Delmarva. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Crime Solvers is now handled by an answering service!!!

The guy who robbed the Bank is actually on a BICYCLE. My Witness clearly saw his FACE. I'm going to stop right here because I can honestly say, this is BS! 

By the way, my Witness is a very well respected local business owner.

Perhaps 911 would have been the better choice than Crime Stoppers since the information was obviously pertained to the investigation.

A robber on a bicycle eludes police after robbing a bank, and a drug dealer on foot eludes loads of cops, helicopters and tracking dogs...... Great Law Enforcement, makes me feel real secure.

The people who answer the phone at the WSO are not really trained to be professional. I've had similar responses and they don't know the difference between emergency or why this is important .

Let's see in the last couple months we've had what? 4 or 5 MSP or more out due to injuries on the job and more off the streets due to administrative leave for discharging their firearms. I don't have a count on SPD or the Sheriff's office, I have heard about the one deputy from the Fletcher incident, recovering from injury.

I don't really have a problem with the officer that shot the guy for dragging him with his car, however, if the officer had not tried to reach his arm in the car to turn the car off to start with, he put his own life in danger when he did that. They already had the tag # and identified the perp, now the guy's dead.

The officers actions accelerated the circumstances and now some guy is dead because he did something that's legal for Americans to do in 2 states. I say again, the officer did what he had to do, but having the chance to do it again would he react the same? I think that was Mike Lewis' point on the news. That officer has that to think about that the rest of his life and could easily seek disability, was it really worth it?

Joe if you say you have the key witness, if Barbara Duncan can't call you because Jim-Bob said so, how is she going to talk to your witness? Oh that's right FBI takes over robbing a FDIC and would walk up Ireton's back and down the front side of that dimwit leaving FBI droppings on Ireton's head.

I'll tell you why one of the reasons crime is running so rhampant throughout Salisbury, its because there are no jobs! Just look at today, the Centre of Salisbury Mall is still closed and it is 7:23. Now how does one think a business is going to survive with no customers. What an absolute mess, this BURY.

is there a connection to the bomb threat to draw police away from the bank. trace the phone call back even a throw away was purchased somewhere maybe with cameras.even dumb criminals sometimes use credit cards, checks etc. to buy a burn phone. by the way the Oklahoma bombing came with no warning, has a bomb ever went off with a bomb threat called in, it seems to defeat the purpose. just saying. BG

Well let's examine this financially. Salisbury's Premier Shopping Mall is closed down because of a bomb threat. People are already suffering because of lack of jobs. Now there are even less jobs because the Mall has been incapacitated due to crime.

Bad scenario all the way around. In my honest opinion, Salisbury has gone to the dogs.

IMO when the Media and SPD don't admit there is a crime problem in Salisbury it will never get any better. The first step toward correcting a problem is to admit
that you have a problem.
Salisbury is fast becoming Dodge
City, I wish Marshall Dillon was here to make our town safe again.

7:19-I doubt it if all those committing the crimes are really interested in getting a job, even if jobs were plentiful and paid well. Oh that's the excuse they give but common sense dictates they don't want to work. Heck most can barely even string the words together to make a proper sentence. They aren't employable and they want to stay that way.

His point was, the cop should not have put himself is such a position for the suspect to be able to drag the cop.

The cops could have caught him at a later time and no one would have been dragged or killed.

I called salisbury police one time a few years ago to report drug dealing and the lady dispatcher asked me how did i know they were dealing drugs. i said they dont deliver bibles starting at midnight.

Hah! I called for the same reason (drug dealing) told them I can watch it from my window, invited them to sit in my house and watch. I was told they couldn't do anything. No. Really. They said that!!!

Maybe the caller called Crime Solvers because they don't use caller ID like 911 or the various police agencies do. Crime Solvers is anonymous, the rest of them know who is calling.

To all:
I'm the eye witness...1st of all I didn't call the police first because I didn't hear about this until I was reading the sbynews feed about the mall bomb threat. From that feed there was the crime solvers phone number link and since I was reading it from my iphone I called it. I then called the link to joes number and relayed the message to him. I wasn't aware until now that crime solvers line wasn't linked to the local authorities . They informed me that my information would be relayed to the local PD.

I've lived here for the last 25plus years...helped thousands of local families...hopefully will be here another 25plus years to help thousands more...Salisbury isn't any different then most other small cities in the US. Hard times doesn't mean we need to make times harder for ourselves...

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

This means WE need to come together...WE...WE...WE...it's not the mayors fault...it's OUR job to come together. He is one man!!! We are MANY!!!

WE can better Salisbury if we act as a group united vs a group hell bent on blame...

It sounds like it.

My first though would have been to dial 911 or the Salisbury Police, not Crime Solvers.

2 years ago my family member (notice I'm being very careful here) had first hand knowledge of a serious situation (again) ..and went to a local law agency (again) and they handled the situation and did something about it... but.. big but... they listed my loved ones name on the charging document big as boots.. and this very disturbed individual has made our lives hel& since. I wish there was some way to stay within the law ... help.. and yet not get drug into the drama and put in harms way. So what is the answer? Maybe someone from law enforcement can come up with a program that really works while not endangering lives of honest citizens who are just trying to help. If you see it going down... what do you do?

All you guys must think about this , If you need money and you rob a bank , big bucks.
You use a fake gun , odds are in this city , you won't get caught.
If you get caught , spend a few days in the jail , post bond , spend your money. Key words " if you get caught".
Anyway time jail is not bad , free food , free room and board , free TV , free exercise room , drugs anytime you can afford them from most officers.

10:48 Thank you, some people are just plain dense or that poor soul didn't like the fact that Mike Lewis did point that out on the news. The guy is dead, dead is dead, the officer is the one that has to live by his actions and that will haunt him the rest of his life. It is easy to sit here and second guess after the fact, if the officer ever has to second guess in the line of duty it could cost him/her their life.

My wife called the City police to report a person knocking on doors and saying if the bill is not paid the service would be discontinued. The person who answered the phone told my wife she would have to call the County sheriff as we did not live in town. I have been paying city property taxes and the water bill for 34 years. Guess if I don't live in the city then I deserve a refund.

7:55, to tell you the truth, most officers are not bothered by "Ghosts", when you kill in the line of duty, you don't think of the perp as a human being, he is an animal hell bent on killing you, like a bear or lion, so you just kill it first.
I have killed 7 "Animals", in 25 years on the streets, I got shot myself, stabbed, and run over, it is kill or be killed, it is a Jungle out there, and your just shooting animals.

Wow you people are amazing. You sit on your couch second guessing every move the police make. I guess you are all experts in the field from watching True Detective or Muder She Wrote lol. The sad fact is most of you are scared and weak. That is why you did not choose to be a police officer. You will watch it unfold on the news or in the news lol. Really go out and cruise oin your free time. Try to be an asset and not a couch crier. I didnt think so. There is none of you crying that will try to make positive impact on the crime problem here. I know that in the Nanticoke area they started a community watch that was highly effective. Is it dangerous. Hell yea it is but those people took it a step further and made the community a safer place to live.

We can all second guess a cop who has a milasecond to decide when his or her life is in danger. Stop being cry babies and do something positive.

Could this guy be involved with the situation from Weds night. Who knows try to stop him. He might be a bike lol because his truck is screwed from what I hear. Try to help the police it is time to take our streets back.

I live next door to a drug dealer, he keeps his house clean, yard fixed up, and his customers don't even leave the car, just drive up, make a call, he runs out, and delivers the product. Actually a nice guy, always has a gun on him, and don't bother no one. Cops leave him alone, because he doesn't draw attention to himself.

Actually 8:28, it's documented that the ATF and federal offices in the Oklahoma city building were on skeleton staffs that day because many were told not to come to work.
