Milk Is Actually Really Bad For You

Milk was once christened "nature's perfect food," says Mark Bittman at The New York Times. The Department of Agriculture recommends three 8-ounce glasses of the stuff a day (which equals about 1.5 pounds). After all: It builds strong bones, is packed with nutrients, and helps kids grow taller. But drinking dairy can be problematic, and its most notorious ingredient, lactose, is indigestible by a significant percentage of Americans. Here, five reasons milk actually doesn't do a body good:

1. It's high in calories and saturated fat
Ounce for ounce, milk has about "the same calorie load as soda," Neal Barnard, president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, tells The New York Times. Lactose is still a sugar, and contributes about 55 percent of skim milk's calories. Plus, milk and other dairy products are big sources of saturated fat, "and there are very credible links between dairy consumption and both Type 1 diabetes and the most dangerous form of prostate cancer." One serving of 2 percent milk has even been found to have the same saturated fat count as a serving of french fries.

Most people don't have to worry about calories if they would get their big fat ace OUTSIDE and do some work. Quit looking (and holding up everyone else) for the closest parking spot to the door. Walk. Push a lawn mower. Ride a bike. Do stuff, other than stuff your face. MILLIONS of Americans drank milk and didn't get fat (back in the day). NOW, they are "lactose intolerant" and sissified, with ADHD. And weigh 350 lbs. It AIN'T the MILK. So, as you can see, I'm calling BS on THIS.

You are one ugly person.

Lactose intolerance IS a medical condition.

'Back in the day', they were not as many hormones and other 'additives' in milk, and other foods we ate.

That is why kids 'develop' at a younger age now.

What the farmers put in livestock and on the fields goes into us and the groundwater that we drink.

Sissified ADHD? That doesn't even deserve a response, other than get some education.

You are on the internet spouting your unqualified opinions so why not do some research while you're online?

You might just learn a thing or two.
