London Welcomes World for Olympics Opening Ceremony

One of the biggest secrets in London will finally be revealed Friday: what will happen at the opening ceremony for the Summer Olympic Games.

Friday night perhaps a billion people will finally get to see the extravaganza created by Danny Boyle, best known for the Oscar-winning film "Slumdog Millionare."

The day got off to a resounding start as bells around the country, including London's famous Big Ben, pealed for three minutes.

I watched the opening ceremonies and was not that impressed. I heard the announcer say the Parade of Nations was at a fast pace, so that was good. The Queen was pretty in Pink, but a little smile would have been nice.

I also watched the opening ceremony. Filled with socialist/polically correct propaganda-- Between the feminists, unionists, the lesbian kiss and the seemed-like-forever tribute to Britian's socialized heathcare, it was a hugh bore.
Matt Lauer was in all his glory. He thought he died and went to heaven.
