I can't wait for you do some house cleaning in the city office. I bet their is going to be a lot butt kissing going on after you are elected.
I over heard Jim talking the other day and he was saying something like " You know Lora it's not who you know it's who you " I am sorry I missed the last part of the statement. It sounded like they were talking about his campaign?
anonymous 9:58, There was a problem in another Town. I was able to make contact with the powers to be as this person was very concerned, (rightfully so) about the problem.
Because this Town is OPEN MINDED and willing to work with me they gave me an immediate answer in great detail and I was able to relay that back to the person concerned.
For what it's worth, I do this quite often for people.
The end result is, the Town doesn't look bad and the citizen is completely satisfied, unlike Salisbury where department heads are NOT allowed to answer ANY questions without it going through the Mayor. THAT WILL CHANGE when I'm elected!
If the department heads can't answer the questions they shouldn't be getting the big bucks

Joe how about crime we know about manpower & money shortages in general but, what do you see changing at the SPD to get things really under control?

The Salisbury Police Department will be priority #1 for me.
We have senators and delegates kissing the rear ends of the Fire Department and touting first responders and quite frankly I've heard just about enough of that any more.
Don't get me wrong, I respect each and every person on the line in the Fire Department but IF any one of them challenges me on the FACT that they have been MORE then well care for we're going to argue.
It is high time our Governor, Congressman, Senators and Delegates pay very close attention to the SPD and gain access to every single penny we can find for every want and need necessary.
If I'm elected I truly dount ANY Council Member will reject my proposals. I will spend the majority of my time finding ways to get them everything they need and we will fight crime like never seen before.
I'll add, I will NOT micromanage the Chief like this Mayor is doing. Our Department Heads will do their jobs or they will seek employment elsewhere, PERIOD. If they cann't perform I will not hesitate to replace them and that's all there is to it.

I agree with you on that one. I am sick to death of hearing the words fire dept.
