Question? For me to participate in a VFW or American Legion turkey shoot,(target shooting) do I need an open carry permit to carry my shotgun from my car into the building? For that matter, to transport the shotgun to the event?
No.
Only applies to handguns.
It is illegal however to carry a loaded shotgun in your vehicle.
Or, even have a loaded shotgun in the back of a pickup or even leaning on the vehicle.
Why? I do not know.

Ted makes complete sense to me. Why let the criminals take over our lives when we could defend ourselves. This right to defend ourselves has been taken away by the government and it is unconstitutional. We have the right to keep and bear arms. That means we can own and carry guns to defend ourselves and our family and nobody should be able to take that right away from us.
The constitution was written to enumerate the right that GOD gave to all of us that the Government (Man)can't take away.
What part of that don't the libtards get?

The police can not protect us. They are too busy protecting themselves and politicians. Or, cleaning up the mess left by criminals when they get there too late.
We will make their jobs much easier when we are able to carry as the constitution permits.
