WASHINGTON - Gas prices are skyrocketing and show no signs of leveling off. The latest WTOP Pain in the Gas survey shows the average price of a gallon of regular shot up by 14 cents, to $3.95 over the past week. The average price is 29 cents higher than one year ago this week.
Mid-grade went up 15 cents to $4.12 a gallon. Premium rose by 14 cents to $4.24.
