WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. Councilman and former mayor Marion Barry says he is "on schedule" when it comes to fundraising ahead of the April 3 primary elections.
Barry, who represents Ward 8, has received almost 150 donations since Feb. 1 but less than 10 of them came from residents in his ward, The Washington Times reports. Barry told the newspaper on Tuesday that his constituents don't have a lot of extra income and many of them think he doesn't need any help winning re-election.
