Troopers Investigate Serious Motorcycle Crash, Seaford

Seaford-Troopers are investigating a serious crash involving a motorcycle that occurred on Friday night in Seaford.

The crash occurred on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 7:10 p.m. as Perry S. Givens-52 of Seaford was operating a 2007 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, exiting the parking lot of the Woodshed Bar and Package Store located on Bridgeville Highway. Preliminary investigation indicates that Givens pulled from the parking lot at a high rate of speed onto southbound Bridgeville Highway and lost control of the motorcycle. Givens was ejected from the motorcycle onto the roadway.

Givens was transported by Delaware State Police Helicopter Trooper 2 to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center where he was admitted in serious condition.

Preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol is considered a factor in this crash. Givens was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Troopers continue to investigate this crash.

WoW! alcohol would have been my last guess.
