WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) -- Delaware plans a gun buyback event at churches in Wilmington and near New Castle this month to take weapons off the streets.
The News Journal of Wilmington reports that the events will be held Dec. 17 at Canaan Baptist Church near New Castle and Ezion Fair Baptist Church in Wilmington. (http://delonline.us/se2O8W)
Individuals will receive a $150 prepaid debit card for turning in a handgun, $200 for an assault rifle and $100 for shotguns and low-powered hunting rifles. The legislature appropriated $100,000 for the pilot program earlier this year.

Yup. And in a post above this one, there is an increase in gun purchases. So somebody will go steal a gun and sell it at the church to make a buck.
