Movers And Sheriff’s Deputies Refuse Bank’s Order To Evict 103-Year-Old Atlanta Woman

Yesterday, a Deutsche Bank branch in Atlanta had requested the eviction of Vita Lee, a 103-year-old Atlanta woman, and her 83-year-old daughter. Both were terrified of being removed from their home of 53 years and had no idea where they’d go next.

But when the movers hired by the bank and police were dispatched to evict the two women, they had a change of heart. In a huge victory for the 99 Percent, the movers “took one look at” Lee and decided not to go through with it. Watch WSB TV’s Channel 2′s video report about the incident:

Let's face it, these people belong in an assisted living or what ever. Unable to make good decisions.

I'm glad the movers and sheriff's department made a stand, but agree with 9:56. Someone else will come in and move them out.

Why, after 53 years, is the house still mortgaged? It appears someone took advantage of these ladies who are probably very trusting.

9:56 - What? How do you know that these ladies need to be in assisted living? I say bravo to the movers and Sheriff's Dept. Sure someone else may come in and move them out, but at least a few individuals are taking a stand against what is just WRONG. For the most part many in this Country have forgotten the meaning of the words RIGHT AND WRONG

So how old do I have to be to live in a house for free? I'm sick of hand-outs to supposedly responsible people.

If banks can get hand outs, why cant everyone else?

Free money for everyone!
