2 Governors Asking U.S. To Ease Rules On Marijuana To Allow For Its Medical Use

The governors of Washington and Rhode Island petitioned the federal government on Wednesday to reclassify marijuana as a drug with accepted medical uses, saying the change is needed so states like theirs, which have decriminalized marijuana for medical purposes, can regulate the safe distribution of the drug without risking federal prosecution.

I was against this, but recently discovered I have glaucoma.
My research showed me the drops available to treat it have nasty side-effects, but there are substances in marijuana that are very effective without side-effects.. that is-- isolated portions of THC. Delta-8 THC appears to be the effective substance, and it can be isolated and used without the mind-altering effects.. much better than having to smoke it all and end up high.
But how can they do research and create the treatment without legal access to marijuana?
It is worth checking out, but drug companies will suppress it because they can't PATENT the substance and charge outrageous amounts for it.
In the meantime.. I'm in a jam.

It doesn't make any difference whether they pass bills or laws to make medical marijuana legal. If the doctor's in the state won't recommend it--like in Delaware--where it has been LEGAL since July, 2011, you still can't get it legally. I agree with 10:06. Just buy it on the street and smoke it in the "privacy" of your own home.
