Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Press Release 12-1-11

On 11/30/2011, at about 1957 hrs., a Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Ocean Highway and Linden Avenue, Pocomoke City, Maryland. The driver was identified as Shelby Leon Coates, age 65, from Suffolk Virginia. A wanted check showed that Mr. Coates was wanted through Somerset County, Maryland for Failure to Appear on a Sale of Untaxed Cigarettes charge on 08/17/2006. Mr. Coates was held at the Worcester County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
