Troopers Seek Public’s Help In Locating Stalking Suspect

Suspect:

Carlos Batres, 32, Georgetown, DE
Hispanic male, 6’00” tall, 211 lbs, brown hair and brown eyes

Lewes, DE- The Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 32 year old Georgetown, DE man after he sent over 30 text messages and called a Lewes, DE female over 25 times during the past weekend.

Troopers have obtained a warrant charging Carlos Batres, 32, with one count each of stalking and harassment. On Saturday, November 26, Batres sent numerous text messages and made multiple phone calls to the victim, all of which were unwanted. He then responded to the victim’s place of employment and drove around the parking lot looking for her, but left after being unable to locate her. The victim, who had previously been involved in a relationship with Batres, then responded to Delaware State Police Troop 7 and reported the incidents.

Carlos Batres is described as a Hispanic male. He is 6’00” tall and 211 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.

The Delaware State Police are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to the location of Carlos Batres to contact the 9-1-1 call center immediately. Information may also be provided to Troop 7 at 302-644-5020. Citizens may also provide a tip by texting keyword “DSP” plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters may also provide information through lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333. Callers can also submit information via the internet at www.tipsubmit.com.
