Incident: DUI
Date of Incident: 20 October 2011
Location: Ocean Gateway, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Sean Paul McGrath, 27, Upper Marlboro, MD

Narrative
: On 20 October 2011 at 7:56 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office was flagged down by motorist who told the deputy about a pick- up truck travelling eastbound on Ocean Gateway that was all over the road. The deputy managed to find the vehicle and observed it swerving erratically and also speeding. The deputy stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Sean Paul McGrath of Upper Marlboro, MD. The deputy also detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from McGrath. The deputy administered field sobriety testing after which the deputy placed McGrath under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The deputy transported McGrath to the Maryland State Police barrack for a breath test. During the test, McGrath registered a .34.

The deputy also discovered that the registration plates on McGrath’s GMC pick-up truck were expired.

The deputy transported McGrath to the Central Booking facility where he was processed and booked into the Detention Center.

Charges: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Per Se
Operating a Motor Vehicle with an expired registration.

Incident: Assault
Date of Incident: 21 October 2011
Location: 4500 block of Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Kurt V. Otto, 55, Salisbury, MD

Narrative:
On 21 October 2011 at 4:37 AM, deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded for a domestic situation in the 4500 block of Snow Hill Road in Salisbury. Upon arrival, the deputies learned that a domestic situation had been ongoing when Kurt Otto allegedly began brandishing a large kitchen knife while making threatening gestures towards family members.

The deputies located Otto inside the residence and recovered the knife the victims stated he used. Otto was placed under arrest and transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance,
