4th Annual Kyle Dixon Memorial Beef And Dumplings Dinner

The 4th Annual Kyle Dixon Memorial Beef and Dumplings Dinner is begin held at the VFW in Delmar Maryland this Sunday, October 16th from 1:00 to 5:00pm.   There will be silent and live auctions, 50/50 raffle, and the footballs games will be on!  Beef, dumplings, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, choice of dessert and drink.  Ticket price is $12. (children 10 under free with adult)  Tickets may be bought in advance or at the door

Included in the auctions:  Autographed Ravens Helmet with Tickets,  Trophy Rockfish Fishing trip, Redskin Tickets, Shorebird Skybox Suite, NASCAR (including front of Kasey Khane racing car!), Golf excursions, Florida Timeshare,  jewelry, home décor, restaurant certificates, Longaberger baskets, beauty products, fall decorations….. Kyle Dixon was a 16 year old Delmar High School student who tragically lost his life in an automobile accident on January 4, 2008.

The Kyle Dixon Memorial Scholarship was established in his honor.  To date,  the Scholarship Committee has given 7 scholarships to a Delmar Senior (male or female) who is a member of the Varsity Soccer Team and meets certain GPA requirements.

All proceeds from the dinner/auction/raffle benefit the Kyle Dixon Memorial Scholarship.

If I wanted to listen to a football game while I ate I would do it at home.

Go and enjoy yourselves at what seems like a good cause. I might get carryout but not sitting next to whooping and hollering rednecks with a mouthful of food.

Anonymous.. You staying home sounds like a great idea.. I will attending this benefit to support his parents and friends whom I know very well and they are great people. Maybe someday you will be mature enough to attend such a great event!!!
