Dutch Woman Calls Ex-boyfriend 65,000 Times

(CBS/AP)

Dutch prosecutors are charging a 42-year-old woman with stalking after she allegedly called her ex-boyfriend 65,000 times in the past year.

The 62-year-old victim from The Hague filed a police complaint in August due to the persistent phone calls. Police arrested the suspected stalker Monday, seizing several cell phones and computers from her home in Rotterdam.

Hague prosecution spokeswoman Nicolette Stoel said Thursday the woman argued to judges at a preliminary hearing she had a relationship with the man and the number of calls she placed to him wasn't excessive.

That is like 7 times per hour 24/7 365. Can we say "obsessed?"

5:23 PM,
It's worse than that because people have to sleep. If he called for 18 hours a day, that works out to almost 10 times an hour, or a call every 6 minutes for 18 hours a day, 365 days a year.

But here's what I want to know: How is it that she receives that many phone calls before she files the complaint? I wouldn't put up with it for much more than a week. And long before 65,000 phone calls I'd have my phone disconnected!

7.4200913242009132420091324200913 times an hour, every hour.

She must have taken the phone with her to the bathroom, dinner table, stores, car rides, etc.

She definitely needs help. And probably a new phone and charger. lol

If she keeps it up he will come back to her. Works every time.
