(CNN) – A group of Kentucky Amish men would prefer to do jail time rather than violate their religious beliefs, which they say forbids the placement of bright orange safety triangles on the backs of their buggies.
The orange triangles are required on all slow-moving vehicles, according to Kentucky state law.

They do use the orange triangles in PA, as I'm sure any of you who have been to Lancaster know.
yeah they need those on some of these HoverRounds that ride in the streets after we spent millions to ramp the sidewalks
Let me see, we are forcing the Amish to put triangles on their cars but here in Maryland we allow the Muslim women to keep their faces covered for their DMV photo on their license. Makes you say HMMMMM>
837 well said. The Amish should not have to use those triangles. It is, IMO, infringing on their rights.
They certainly SHOULD have to use them. They are a slow moving vehicle. It's in their best interest as well as ours. If our farmers are required to use them, then they should have to use them too.
I'm sick and tired of certain groups of people being able to put rules and laws on the sideline and say they shouldn't pertain to them.
They follow their religious beliefs. They try and comply with the law with reflective tape and reflectors.
Most on here, and the public in general, have no idea, or desire, on how to follow ANY religious beliefs.
This is to the very core of our constitution, religious freedom.
They should be admired for their convictions. (of faith, not court)
Leave them alone and focus on matters that are important.
