WILL ERICK SAHLER BECOME RICK POLLIT’S CHIEF OF STAFF?
Wicomico County residents should be concerned about the notion – and it’s more than a rumor if not yet an open secret – that Mr. Pollitt plans to appoint Erick Sahler, (formerly-?) of the Daily Times, as his "chief of staff" to exercise the County Executive’s administrative duties if the County Council allows that position to come into being as Pollitt has requested. Altogether, Mr. Sahler’s qualifications (training and experience) for that position total zilch, but we understand that he is a long time personal pal and political supporter of Rick Pollitt.
He would not be the first denizen of the Daily Times to feed from the County’s trough, joining both the current "public information officer," Mr. Fineran, and a prior one, George Roach, whose actions are a matter of local legend, in that respect.

Why does Rick Pollitt need someone to do what we elected -- and pay -- him to do?

Unfortunately, this is the pre-requisite for many people who are in appointed postitions and not unique to Rick Pollitt. Too bad that qualifications don't mean very much.

Nuff said -- impeach Pollitt now!
The Daily Times is a snakebed of buffoons, like Greg Bassett, but now it's now too strapped to keep paying the likes of Erick Sahler, so he wants his pal Pollit to give him a patronage position paid by the taxpayers.
I say: NO WAY!
Anyone who knows what Sahler did and wrote at the Daily Times would say he should not be given any authority in government even if he had the best credentials.

Sahler dosen't need a job his wife got a $20.000.00 year raise two years ago at the BOE.

Exactly.. I agree another disfunctional silver spoon feed leftist. Never worked a hard day in his life, had everything handed to him, no sense of the value of a dollar. His cartoons and view on the troops alone should not qualify him.. i say we get another ref on the ballot to disolve the county exec position it was a mistake and appears to be another hungry government boondoggle. He sucked as a commie editor of the daily slime and certinly does not deserve to serve our fine county..ur losing this indy vote
