Wright, Elmore to Wicomico Board of Education

As we posted yesterday, Michelle Wright was reappointed to the Wicomico Board of Education for a second five (5) year term.  Carolyn Elmore, former Delegate and widow of Del. Page Elmore, was appointed by Gov. Martin O’Malley to succeed Robin Holloway.  Holloway was not eligible for re-appointment.  The appointments were announced yesterday at the Board’s regular meeting.

In addition to the appointments, Ron Willey was elected WCBOE president and Dr. Tyrone Chase was re-elected vice-president.

Dr. Elmore will be a tremendous asset to the Board. I hope that Ron Willey can calm down now that he's president and not go into one of his famous meltdowns.

What a great appointment in Carolyn Elmore! Finally I can point to something GOOD that Owe'Malley has done!

Though Mr. Willey is passionate about education, he can also be a bully to anyone who disagrees with him. At Westside Intermediate,it was not at all uncommon for a mom to leave his office in tears because Mr. Willey was so harsh when you disagreed with him. I predict more battles between the Teacher Union supporting Willey and the conservative counsel.

Ron Willey is a Quack and he hates Republicans and the Wicomico County Council.
