I printed in kindergarten and first grade, I've written in cursive ever since.

I can do both at around the same speed, and printing is easier to read, so I print more often.

Anonymous 11:57am -- HA HA This is a 2 part question. You remind me of my spouse!

print on forms, cursive for everything else. I learned to write in cursive by some very strict teachers (no, not nuns), letters had to be neat, no excuses allowed. too bad today children are not taught in the same manner we were.

I print my cursive sucks!!

Print to fill out forms, cursive to sign my name - print notes to young grandkids, cursive notes to older grandkids - cursive writing letters, note reminders to myself and grocery list

Don't know why it is important, but you can put my answer as both

Everyone's answer will be determined by their age. This is due to penmanship/cursive writing not being taught anymore, at least in Wicomico County.

I only sign my signature in cursive. The rest I just print. Printing is a lot easier.

Cursive is faster for me. I only print on forms. It's sad that they aren't teaching cursive any longer, but there is no longer an appreciation for the written word. I'll hold on to my books and letter writing until I take my last breath thank you!

11:59 the question when answered correctly will result in only one choice being true.
It didn't say "and/or". It said "or".
So I answered the best way possible because I use cursive OR print.

Soon our kids will be signing documents by drawing an emoticon

i use a combination of both. i call it printsive ;)

seriously, though. i use a mix. some letters are easier/look better in one style than another. its all in how it flows...

and for the record I'm 31 and was taugh cursive starting in 3rd grade.

I just draw pictures.

Both...I still enjoy cursive, especially used in note cards and letters. Yes, I still "write" letters. Some older folks don't have pcs and enjoy knowing we haven't forgotten them.

print and cursive

Don't know about other private schools but Holly Grove Christian School in Somerset County takes penmanship very seriously. The children are taught and graded on their penmanship for six years. Public schools do not emphasis penmanship any longer.

I recently heard on the news that schools nationwide are contemplating removal of cursive writing from the curriculum. A grave mistake in my opinion.

I am surprised some of you can do either.
