The petition drive to force the Maryland DREAM Act to referendum in 2012 is successful. With over 40,000 signatures still left to verify, the Maryland State Board of Elections has verified over 63,000 signatures. Only 55,736 were required to put the measure on the 2012 ballot.
Petition supporters still face legal challenges from DREAM Act proponents.
