GOVERNOR SARAH PALIN ENDORSES MURPHY FOR GOVERNOR

SOLIDIFIES MARYLAND GOVERNOR’S RACE ON NATIONAL STAGE WASILLA, ALASKA and CROFTON, MARYLAND

Today, Brian Murphy, Republican Candidate for Governor of Maryland, received the endorsement of Governor Sarah Palin. In endorsing Murphy, Governor Palin acknowledges the national implications of Maryland’s Gubernatorial Race.

“I’m honored to endorse Brian Murphy for Governor of Maryland. Brian is a pro-life, pro-Second Amendment commonsense conservative and a firm believer in the free market and the cause for energy independence. As a former energy industry executive and current small business owner, Brian has the private sector experience that is so lacking in government today. He knows how to incentivize industry to get our economy moving again. Together with his running mate for lieutenant governor, Mike Ryman, Brian will provide Maryland with principled and results oriented leadership. Please join me in supporting Brian by visiting his website at http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=78981606&msgid=388776&act=JK0J&c=632271&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.brianmurphy2010.com%2F and following him on Facebook and Twitter.”

In response to Palin’s endorsement, Murphy issued the following statement:
“I am humbled and honored to receive Governor Palin’s endorsement. Governor Palin has served her city, her state, her country, and her party with distinction. Governor Palin has always been led by principle, conviction and character. I look forward to working with her as we unify the Republican Party in Maryland, and around the country, on its core principles. Governor Palin’s endorsement is an honor and a privilege,” said Murphy.

This is a Huge endorsement.

Wow. . .this is going to create havoc in both Ehrlich and O'Malley camps.

I've felt all along that both parties are trying to hold this guy back.

Go Murphy - let's give them a run
for their money!

Well, Well, kind of hearkens back to the email that I sent to Audrey Scott a few weeks ago about letting the electorate pick the candidates not the MD GOP. They picked the wrong guy to back and it is going to bite them in the butt. This will be national news and watch out Ehrlich - looks like you have a primary to fight after all!!!!! Go Brian!!!!

Can someone tell me where to get a Murphy sign for my yard? Is he even making them or is saving the dollars and cents?

Well isn't this a 'twist in the road'.

No doubt this news is going to unsettling the O'Malley/Ehrlich camps. I agree with 12:05's observation that it is high time Maryland citizens are allowed to pick the candidate as opposed to the GOP.

I'm really impressed with Brian Murphy's conservative platform and no doubt - Sarah Palin was to.

Go get them Brian!

Ehrlich had better get than million dollars out and be ready to hand it over. Michael Steele never should have given it to him in the first place. Audrey Scott screwed this one up big time!!!!!!

I truly believe Brian Murphy is the man for the job. I wish we had known more about him prior to this election, though. Is there enough time to promote this conservative?

I will take a few yard signs as well..and bumper stickers :)

Wow. I am FAR from the biggest Palin fan but there is no doubt this is huge. Not saying Brian has a chance yet but this certainly solidifies his chances. More and more people need to take notice of this man and hopefully this will help his cause. Murphy for Governor!

Response to 12:48 Posting - Is there enough time?

You betcha. This election is far from over. SBYnews travels like lightning across Maryland/Delaware/Virginia - and and I'm quite certain it is getting a tremendous number of hits as I'm writing this post.

This is going to be a big boost to Brian Murphy's campaign.
