Funny that you should post this....
On my way to work I was taking note of all the commercial space along 13 heading south and how poorly mainitaind 98% of it is!!!!
Shame on all the businesses that are not taking better care of their lots, sidewalks and curbs. LAZY, LAZY...show some civic responsibility! SHAME, DOUBLE SHAME ON THOSE NOT ENFORCING IT!!!! This intersection always has a million cigarette butts in addition to the weeds!

They do not need complaints filed.Hell they drive by these violations everyday and look the other way. They have enough ppl to do a better job. All they have to do is get pro-active and open their eyes.

It's all about generating revenue !

We don't need um, period. County and state are not cutting there grass, why should we have to unless we want to? If I like tall grass I should be able to have tall grass.

The whole department should be disbanded. They hated Ireton, now they pose as his best buds. I hope he can see that. No eyesight, No sense of fairness, How about honesty? Character? Yes men from the word go. Where else would a bunch like that go?

They are still marching to Barrie's tune.. Why can't Jim see that? The whole department was a Barrie concept. Department heads with same morals as her. They still doing the bidding of S.A.P.O.A.

It is a true case of "do as I say, not as I do."

AS the old saying goes,You cannot Beat City Hall.

Now where would they get money for cigarette butts or weeds on a roadway?

The Code and Enforcemnet division is a tax collector. The only violations that pay off are to individual people.

You guys are smart enough to know that!

If they give Mr Smith a fine for weeds he will pay them money.

The state isn't going to pay them anything for the weeds on the roadway.

Let it go Joe. You get what you deserve.

You and anyone else who thinks that the City is "doing the bidding of SAPOA" is brain dead.

I see this spot every day (its right across from the state police station)....I can't beleive they haven't made WAWA responsible....lol...I agree with the prior posts....Code & Compliance is NOTHING to do with anything except M-O-N-E-Y....this is the government we elected and so I ask --- what the heck is your complaint??? In the entire local, state, & federal government, is there ANYONE who gives a damn about the citizens??? Why do you think people spend thousands, hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions of dollars to be elected to an office that pays next to nothing...i.e. Micheal Bloomberg....They tax and tax to do basic services and then get citizens to volunteer to clean up the highways...I think that in a couple of more months, those plants will be big enough to offer some shade while I wait at that traffic light....Call Ireton and see if he'll do anything....let me know what he says....

If Jim Ireton wants to become the most popular Mayor in history, get rid of the whole department and start over with honest folks.

The city is not doing favors for SAPOA but some people in that department are.

I did some traveling on the western shore over the weekend and grass in the medians of various highways was high enough to cover the guard rails.

You said: "The city is not doing favors for SAPOA but some people in that department are."

Inquiring minds want to know: who, what & when are you referring to?

Ball's in your court!

How about the GOV get the people who are collect welfare and free housing to get their lazy asses out there and do it!! No need for them to sit in their houses and do NOTHING!

hey 1:08...don't be hating the people on welfare and living in free housing (free to THEM, but NOT to us working folk)....SOMEBODY has to be able to sell drugs in the daytime while we work for a 28% tax rate....and sit out in front of their apts and houses to watch the rest of us go back and forth to work....and stroll up and down church street with their liquor in paper sacks, and pimp their "bischs's" (pimpin' ain't easy, ya know)...just make sure YOUR grass is cut and you are wearing your seal belt when you drive to work....it a cruel world out there for the 47% of us who pay taxes....and fines...and fees.
