On June 18, 2010 at approximately 6:11 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police responded to a residence on the three hundred (300) block of E. William Street for the report of a subject hiding in shrubbery next to a residence. Upon arrival the officers located the below listed suspect sleeping in the shrubbery at the rear of the residence. The subject was awakened and immediately became disorderly and began to threaten both the officer and the homeowner.
The suspect fought with the officers and was eventually taken into custody. Upon arrest, the suspect was found to be in possession of tools that would be used to commit burglaries.
ARRESTED: Richard Roy Mason, 51 years of age
Delmar, Maryland
CHARGES: Threat of Arson
Trespassing
Obstructing and Hindering an investigation
Resisting arrest
Possession of burglary tools
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

On June 18, 2010 at approximately 6:38 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the J.C. Penney Department Store at the Centre at Salisbury for the report of a theft. Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised that store employees had observed the below listed suspect take clothing from the store without making any attempts at payment. The clothing was recovered and returned to the store.
ARRESTED: Katelyn Marie Larrimore, 18 years of age
Laurel, Delaware
CHARGES: Theft (under $ 100)
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

On June 18, 2010 at approximately 7:55 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Walmart Store on North Salisbury Boulevard for the report of a theft. Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised the officers that store employees had observed the below listed suspect take dvds from the store without making any attempts at payment. The dvds were recovered and returned to the store.
ARRESTED: Juvenile, 16 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Theft (under $ 100)
DISPOSITION: Released to Guardian

On June 20, 2010 at approximately 1:07 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on the three hundred (300) block of Nice Place for the report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival the officers met with the adult female victim who advised that she had been involved in an argument with the below listed suspect. The victim advised that during the argument the suspect struck her in the face and choked her, leaving marks on her facial area.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
ARRESTED: Carlos Alberto Marquez-Arevalo, 28 years of age

CHARGES: Second degree assault

On June 21, 2010 at approximately 5:31 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Walmart Department store on North Salisbury Boulevard for the report of a theft. Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised the officers that store employees had observed the below listed suspects take shoes from the store without making any attempts at payment. The shoes were recovered and returned to the store.

All these calls... and to think soon they will be furlowed, while the uppers sit in their cushioned/air conditioned offices with 0 furlows!
The uppers get furloughed too. It's Ireton, Shields and Smith who aren't suffering. Those three made sure the police were cut, despite pleadings and found money from Campbell and Cohen.
Couldn't help but notice the guy sleeping in the bushes of Salisbury's most historic district. By golly, sure am glad we got All American City for our efforts with the homeless (sarcasm).
Furloughs. The cities way of making a discredited department even more despirate. Everyone who knows the job on the Eastern Shore knows that SPD has been self descructing for years. Morale is already bad enough don't ya think? Now they don't have a permanant chief yet and the same morons are making the same decisions. Putting rookies who haven't paid thier dues or proven anything into specialized areas? So much for hard work and persistance. Now rumor has it that SPD is about to lose a few of thier harder working officers to other agencies. That is just great. Hopefully the Sheriffs Office grabs them up so at least they can still help the areas around us. The mayor ought to get off his butt and watch some of the things more closely that are going on over there, but he seems more concerened about saving his own a**. Barry all over again. I'm greatful I got out years ago.
Well, I think I'll commit a burglary tonight...but boy, those bushes look inviting. Maybe I'll just take a nap first...
also, you can't commit domestic disputes if you live on Nice Place. You have to at least move.
