The North American Aerospace Defense Command is conducting exercise flights over Washington, Baltimore, Richmond, Va., and northern West Virginia to test its response to air threats.
NORAD will conduct multiple exercise flights today in the early afternoon.
The exercise will include fighter aircraft and general aviation aircraft contracted by the Department of Defense.

Air threats....LOL...do they really mean how fast they can get fighter jets in the air to shoot down U.S. civilian aircraft, because thats the only "air threat" I can envision...its not like Mexico or Iran is gonna launch an air armada attack against us.....so what "air threat" is being practiced for??? And are most Americans comfortable with the military practicing killing us in our own country??
They are getting ready to light Iran up.
well, then ....start flying them jets...I'm GOOD with "lightin' Iran up".....But thats awful far away to be practicing over the DC area...

You mean Israel is getting ready to light up Iran. They're going to do it for us! No doubt in my mind!
238: I live near AAFB. Very often I see fighters scrambling. They started up these exercises around 1145 this morning. I love it. Makes me proud watching them roar overhead.
yeah well it all sucks in you live down to westside and try to take a nap during the day cuz you work amillion hours a week. and there are jets practicing all the time not just today
