Hi Joe,
Maybe by posting this an accident will be avoided.
On Schumaker Drive basically in Parkside High School’s parking lot is a red brick “house” that the BOE bought a few years ago. I think it’s called the ICT now. When coming out of their driveway you have to make a right hand turn & go to the opening in the divided portion of the road to turn around.
On more than one occasion I have had seen vehicles make a left out of that driveway. Yes, they are driving the wrong way on a divided roadway. This is much to the surprise of anyone who happens to turn on to Schumaker Drive to find someone coming at them head on.
I have contacted the Board of Ed so this is really to let others know to be really careful over there.
Thanks.

Surprise? Nobody should be surprised at witnessing this kind of foolishness. Driving on the wrong side of the road seems to be more prevalent around here then in any place I have ever lived. It is not unusual for me to have to make some kind of evasive maneuver to avoid colliding with somebody driving on the wrong side of the road.

And we let them teach our children
meh, the worse intersection in salisbury is the mill street/riverside/camnden/carrol street one. people always come off riverside and block it since we all know how important they are. no one ever stops at the light. if the police would go there 1 day a week from 4:30 to 6pm they could fund all thier time and avoid the furloughs with the extra income from tickets
I agree with 12:50 - that intersection is terrible! People come flying off of Carrol street turning right on Mill (totally ignoring their red light) and then people coming off Riverside block the intersection up like crazy. Traffic turning right off Carrol will block the intersection with Circle Ave and then that backs up.
Put a cop directing traffic there in the middle and I guarantee NO ONE will run those lights and everyone will get through without issues!
Anonymous 9:52: Why do you assume it is the teachers who are not using the intersection correctly? As a teacher (Worcester County) I challenge you to come visit my classroom to see what teachers do everyday. Not only are we teachers, we are mothers, fathers, friends, mentors, and nurses to these children. Please do not judge me or other teachers.... as I have not judged you.
It's called the IRC (Instructional Resource Center) and its visitors include more than just teachers.
