Division St. Railroad Surface FINISHED!


Division St. to Open
Mayor to Test in Own Vehicle


Salisbury Public Works, in a joint effort with Norfolk Southern Railroad has removed an abandoned railroad track on North Division St. between Baltimore Ave. & Wilson St. The paving of this area is complete and the road will be opened by 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010. Mayor Ireton will be on hand with Public Works staff to survey the railroad work and utilize his Mayoral truck to test out the new road surface. See you at 2:45 p.m.!

Wish they would finish the Sharen Drive work. They had a whole crew out a couple of days ago trying to smooth out the rock dust patch but it didn't work at all. People are driving into oncoming traffic to avoid the patch. Has been like that for months.

2:37....I totally agree. I live there also and that is NOT a small patch. I know that I don't want to have to drive over it and it's worse when the geese and ducks are crossing the road. There is no place to go to avoid it unless you can go around it.

BFD...nothing better to do,Mayor? Drive your mayoral truck down our street in a straight line without hitting too many 35 year old potholes.
