Jim Rutledge Trusts Michael Steele

Jim Rutledge responds to unfortunate incidents at Republican National Committee. Jim Rutledge trusts Michael Steele to provide the necessary leadership to restore confidence.

FORREST Hill, Maryland
- U.S. Senate Candidate Jim Rutledge is concerned about the unfortunate events that have confronted Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele. These incidents have cast a shadow over the Republican National Committee. Jim Rutledge said, “The controversies have hurt the image of the Republican National Committee, but I believe Chairman Steele is addressing them in an appropriate manner.”

The Republican National Committee must work quickly to make whatever changes are necessary to restore confidence in the Republican Party. Strong leadership means having the ability to achieve success in a manner that is conducive to Republican Party beliefs. The unpopular liberal agenda that Barbara Mikulski and Congress are carrying out has presented an opportunity for the Republican Party to stand up and lead America in a new direction. Jim Rutledge believes the Republican Party must put forth the best conservative leadership and ideas available to provide America a strong alternative to what Washington is now offering.

Regarding the leadership of the National Republican Committee Jim Rutledge said, “Many people are asking me about what happened, and I don’t know all the facts. I do know that all this has been a distraction, and I trust Michael Steele will do the right thing.” Michael Steele is already making changes and implementing internal controls to prevent future incidents. Jim Rutledge is confident that Michael Steele and the 168 members of the Republican National Committee will act accordingly to do what is in the best interest of the Republican Party. Jim Rutledge believes the time has come to restore Ronald Reagan’s conservative values to the Republican Party and America. “Obviously mistakes were made, and Chairman Steele is working hard to correct them and put to rest any misgivings people may have about his leadership and or the Republican National Committee,” said Rutledge.

I think Steele would be fun to have a beer with, but as chair of the RNC, time for him to go.
