Hit And Run Fatal Pedestrian Crash Probed

Resume: The teen that died in last night’s fatal hit and run crash is identified as Michael R. Gropp, 16, of Newark, Delaware.

Michael was walking with a friend at the time of the crash and they were crossing the roadway from north to south.

This crash remains under investigation. It has been determined that the impact occurred in the right lane. There is still very little known about the striking vehicle other than it was dark and possibly had bluish headlights. This vehicle was traveling along with possibly a Ford Mustang.

There may have been witnesses to this crash who left the scene prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. They are encouraged to contact investigators at the number below.
