no, I have served in the military, and I have traveled to most of the countries where we have troops stationed as a civilian. Believe me when I tell you they do not like us or want us. Although they do love the money we pump into their local economies. Bring them all home! Let the sh!tholes of the world figure it out for themselves. we did!

Not at all. Why should the US go above and beyond every other country as if we muct prove ourselves to other countries. Wake up call Obama...the world knows we are broke so putting on a front isn't really making a difference! It is king of like the neighbor who's $500k house is pending foreclosure, his $65k custom beamer is hidden 3 blocks over avoiding repo, and his boat has stored in a locked facility for months yet he still buys every person he knows extravagent gifts on his nearly maxed out credit cards! Just stop already Obama tell the world the U.S. cannot offer huge amounts of assistance at this time, we must get our economy under control before additional funds are sent to assist their country.

no,
if your gonna declare war,
go in blow them up and leave.
and why do we spend billions on weapons we don't or won't use?
infedels r gutless, or so it seems to the middle east.
if they had any real weapons, do you not believe they would use them on us.
Look what they can do with sticks n stones, IEDs and commercial planes?
Just wait to they get real weapons

no , 9:36 , the reason they hate us is because they are taught to hate. Their leaders want to keep them ignorant so they can steal the bennies.

Anonymous said...

No way. Our intervention is why all countries hate us already. We need to be like a fickle woman for a change and let them miss us so then they can appreciate us once again.

Guard our borders and destroy anybody who tries to attack us!

@10:28

Our taxes already pay for these wars. We spend more on our military than the rest of the world combined.

Anonymous said...

10:28 Everytime you have a war you spend more than you were spending before the war. Remember how we had a surplus before two wars and no increase in taxs. Actually we had taxs cuts at the same time....insane.

No, enough already.

No No, why dont we get our own economy back on track and then we can help anyone.
But our country is failing, only people that are still making good money and have there jobs and there investments dont feel the crunch.

no.

Of course we should. How are we going to steal their natural resources, enslave their people, and grow drugs?

Come on. Use your head before you ask such a stupid question.

9:57..."japs" ???? I hope when you travel you are a bit more sensitive to other nationalities.

I don't really buy the "they're jealous of us" line. People around the world resent our notion that the world is ours to police.

I think we do a great deal of good and I'm proud of the country....but any objective person would also have to admit that a number of our incursions around the world have not been good for us or the country we were supposedly helping.

I also firmly beleive that those incursions and the associated costs have diverted our focus from our own citizens needs.

I am old enough to remember losing many friends in Viet Nam...for what???? Thier blood was not worth it.
