Missing & Located Persons

At approximately 2125 hrs., the Maryland State Police received a call from Crystal Lynn Ensey,an 18 year old female, advising she was lost in the woods with her 17 year old female friend in the vicinity of Nanticoke Road and Quantico Road, Salisbury Maryland. Trooper’s from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack responded to the area and set up a perimeter and began an extensive search for the missing victims.

Maryland State Police Aviation Division was notified and responded to the area to aid in the search as well as a K9 unit from the Maryland State Police, Princess Anne Barrack. A coordinated effort by the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack and the Aviation Division were able to locate the missing females.

The Aviation Division was then able to guide Trooper’s on the ground to the area where the missing females were located and the girls were escorted to Firetower Road where an ambulance was waiting to take them to PRMC for evaluation.

Editors Note: To the many of you calling me last night wondering what was happening on Nanticoke Road, now you know.

Something fishy about why they were in the woods at that time of night.

What a waste of resources on a couple of ding bats.

so who's gonna pay for the costs of using the medivac helicopter for their stupidity? we aren't talking about 5 year olds here.

I am glad you cleared this one up for me. Hearing this going on right after watching 24 freaked me out.

the Maryland state police helicopter is not only used as a medivac helicopter, it's also used for search and rescue.

They were probably just taking a walk on a beautiful day. Some people still love the outdoors you know.

I agree with 1:20 ...People can just get lost not meaning too. Doesn't have to be fishy....I got lost in Pemberton Parks woods walking with my friends. The police had to come to find us. We went walking at daylight before we could get back it was dark and the trails all look the same when its pitch black.

Ok..I will say it..I am very glad to hear it was a happy ending. It's none of my business why they were in the woods. 10:45..it could happen to your family someday. It's never a waste of resources when it's about saving lives. I am glad they are ok and thank you Joe for letting us know. Blessings to all

These girls are someone's daughters, sisters. Why be hateful? Kids get lost, even at that age. Glad they are safe. Thank you, troopers!

Maybe they were looking for a dog that wandered off or something. What difference does it matter?
Glad they are safe and had a cell phone to call for help. I'm sure they were very scared and will not do it again.
