LORA Hosts Big Gala Event At Chef Fred's

The Local Owners Restaurant Association, (LORA) held their big Gala Event at Chef Fred's this year. The event was such a hit, they took up all of the banquet rooms, the dining room and even the Bar. Samples of Western Style food was served by many of the local restaurants.

My favorites, Vinny's Laroma was the best. Breaktime Billiards had a dip that was the best seafood dip I have ever had, yes, even better than all of the crab dips I have experienced here on the Eastern Shore. Chef Fred's served their notorious Prime Rib and as always it was fantastic. Too many delicious food to mention but I will add, Cakes By David served deserts that were to die for!

If you've never attended one of these Gala Events, put this on your calendar each year. Randy Lee Ashcraft entertained the huge crowd and the auction they held was actually one of the best I've seen in quite some time.

I have gotten a few cakes from Cakes by David, and I must say they are the best in the area. If you need a professional cake, they have the best prices and the best tasting cake around. The owners are extremely nice and willing to do pretty much anything you ask. Better cake for a better price.. what more could you ask for?!

How can you be the president and not have a restaurant?

Because he is local and he does seve food. There are several members who own LOCAL businesses who are also members. Sysco, Holt, Linnes of the week, Gardner Signs...when you put this all together it says LOCAL. This organizatiion does good things for our community. Maybe YOU would like to join. The more the merrier.

I love the pictures! In one it looked like Linda Kent? What a beautiful lady. She was considered one of the "dirty dozen" by Dunn. She did a great job with exposing the bad things happening in our local government. Good job Linda! Nice to see you out supporting another great cause. You look just beautiful!

Chef Stewart does have a place to eat in Fruitland. He also owned Flannery's for I think 15 years and joined when he owned it. I have been to many LORA events and they are great. Somebody always has something to complain about. Get a life...
